10MAY13 Yeah, This Ain't Where Its At You can't tell by this gorgeous photo of the Shrimp Bisque, though! Last week, I left work pretty early in the day (as usual :b) and hung out with one of my shipmates from Great Lakes - JR. We went to Horton Plaza in downtown San Diego. Earlier, JR told me that he was hankering for some steak and I wanted to oblige by finding a reputable restaurant that offered a potentially delicious steak on their menu. His desire for steak wasn't the only consideration when it came time to eat: I wanted to try a place that I had never been to before and I was kind of craving French food. I thought, hey, French bistros/brasseries/cafes usually put out a good steak frites. Why not introduce JR to French cuisine by way of a dish like that? Well, JR and I were hanging out in downtown San Diego and I did a Yelp! search on my iPhone. I saw that there was a wine bar nearby which had a solid four star rating from over 1,000 reviewers (!). Again, if you missed it, that's ONE THOUSAND reviewers plus, folks! The name of this celebrated canteen? Cafe Chloe. KEEP READING |
